10 things......

It looks like lockdown is slowly lifting, plus spring in the air. There's a little glimmer of light and positivity at the end of this long, Corona filled tunnel. What are you looking forward to?

  1. LewisAfter Lockdown, I will be looking forward to simply leaving the house.  I don’t mind where I go, I will even be happy to wander around in open space.  It’s been a bit boring just staying in the house, because there is not a lot to do when you are stuck inside.  I’ve been shielding since about March 2020, so nearly a whole year.  I don’t mind even if I’m out for an hour.  I’m looking forward to feeling the sun on my face and fresh air.
  2. Gruff  - Buying things on Amazon definitely has its benefits, but how long are you willing to go on shopping just on a screen? Don’t you wish you could go into any shop you liked, have a look around and be able to buy whatever?  It sounds like such excitement now compared to just scrolling on your phone and having someone deliver your items the next day. Gone are the days of window shopping! But hopefully the shops that were once open will make a comeback. But until then Amazon is the only option and we’ll have to make do.
  3. Abi My last summer holiday was two years ago. In 2020 we couldn't go on our summer holiday. Last year. In 2021 this year we changed our summer holiday from May to august, I cannot wait to catch a suntan and I would love to have a swim in the Greek sea. I like to read my fate the winx saga book on a sun bed, me and my parents always have a walk after we had our meal. Then we go back to the hotel and we have a game of top trumps while we are drinking a Pina Colada.
  4. Cody - I’m looking forward to taking my girlfriend Abbie on a real date.  We’ve been together for nearly a year, but we haven’t been able to see each other in a while, not only because of lockdown but also because of distance. I’m planning on taking her shopping, then to The Harvester in Talbot Green.
  5. Dan -  My opinion the greatest part about the end of lockdown is the availability of being able to get rid of our masks as masks restrict breathing and we will be able to see other people's facial expressions.
  6. Jo - The hardest thing about lockdown is not being able to visit my family.  I come from a large family and we are used to showing our love and appreciation of each other through big hugs and kisses.  We kiss hello, we kiss goodbye, we hug each other when one of us is feeling down, or hug just to show how much we care.  For me, this ban on hugging has made me worry that my family, especially my children, will not know how much I love them.  It hurts not to be able to hold them, especially when they are suffering.  So when Lockdown is lifted I am looking forward to hugging my Mum and Dad, my brother and sisters, my nieces and nephews, my children and my grandson!
  7. Michael I’m looking forward to going to the Cinema again. I haven’t been to the Cinema for a year. Last time I went was to watch Sonic the Hedgehog with my friends. When the Cinema reopens, I want to see Black Widow because I’m a fan of the Marvel franchise and I’m real looking forward to watching the movie. It was supposed to come out in May 2020, because of COVID it got delayed. It's new release date is in May 2021. Another movie I want to see is James Bond No Time To Die because I like the actor Daniel Craig who plays James Bond.
  8. Ange - Running the same routes from my front door and hearing Jo Wicks shouting 'do another burpee' is starting to tire. Part of my routine has always been going to the gym and I really miss it. I can't wait to get back to the variety of gym equipment and classes, the loud motivational beats of the sound system and the friendly faces of my workout buddies.
  9. ConnorThe one thing I am very excited for when this lockdown rubbish is over is seeing all of my friends again. I have met them outdoors but it doesn’t feel the same as it used to because of the 2m rule. As soon as we can, we plan to go shopping to Talbot Green, just like we used toMy friends are so excited to get out and have fun and a good laugh with each other. It’s been almost a year since we've got close to each other.
  10. MiranAs part of my birthday celebrations (today), I decided to draw a 18th birthday celebration drawing to show some of the things I’m looking forward to in the future. One of the best surprises I could wish would be to have a dog, a best friend, a loving companion always part of my heart, a soul connected to me as it’s always there for me, part of my life cycle. I also wanted a PlayStation 5 but due to stocking issues I have to wait. For my birthday, I would love to go on a walk on the hills with my family as something to remember throughout my life. Thank you for reading!
